Stephanie Guralnick
Steph is a comic illustrator who loves to write and draw hopeful queer stories with a surprising touch of magic.
Stephanie “Steph” Guralnick (she/they) is a debut author/illustrator originally from Oak Park, Illinois. She graduated from the University of Michigan with degrees and honors in English Literature and Theatre, and completed two Center for Cartoon Studies intensives (“Queer Comics Workshop” with Tillie Walden, and “Graphic Novel Workshop” with Paul Karasik). Steph was also the 2024 Graphic Novel Mentee for Round Table Mentorship, working under Brigitta Blair. Additionally, she is a member of the Sequential Arts Workshop community and frequently contributes comics to “The Gutter.” Her work was featured in their first anthology TRASH.
She is working on a graphic novel and in addition to her comic work, she hosts monthly zine workshops and enjoys creating book covers, illustrated recipes, picture books, and would love to make some comic adaptations of classic literature one day. When not drawing, she can be found playing the violin, combing the streets of New York for a delicious pastry, and long-distance running.
Steph lives in New York City and can be found online at stephanieguralnick.com and on Instagram and Bluesky at @stepanari.
Steph is represented by Chelsea Eberly.
