Question & AnswersCategory: Questionsrevised-opening-chapter-after-sending-query

Hi! I have a bit of a weird question–I queried Chelsea a few weeks ago and have since updated and revised my first several chapters. I wanted to make a note on my submission, so that I could ask if she wanted the new sample as opposed to the outdated pages, but the only notes were for withdrawal or offer of rep. Should I withdraw and re-query? Or just stay silent? These pages are *much* better than the previous opening, so I\’d like to at least give her the chance to see them.

Hi Sara,
Thanks for checking on this. Always feel free to withdraw and re-query if you’d like to submit a new-and-improved version. There’s no penalty for doing so, and I do appreciate reading the material that authors feel is their strongest work.
Best wishes,
Chelsea
